Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced funds reporting professional to manage financial and regulatory reporting services for CFS clients. You will lead engagements, plan budgets, and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality outputs under US GAAP and IFRS.

You will train teams on accounting standards, coordinate with clients and auditors, and identify opportunities to expand services. Travel may be required as needed by engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in funds.
• Experience with IFRS and US GAAP financial statements for funds.
• Experience in leading a team of accountants and/or auditors.
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance requirements for funds.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Professional designation (CA/ACCA/CPA/CFA) preferred.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete financial and regulatory reporting services for CFS clients.
• Lead financial and regulatory reporting engagements including planning and budgeting.
• Provide training on accounting standards for funds under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Identify and communicate recent authoritative pronouncements for funds to the group and clients.
• Lead and develop a team of Financial and Regulatory Reporting staff and ensure quality work.
• Set staff goals, conduct performance evaluations, and lead staff meetings.
• Develop relationships with internal teams, clients and audit firm personnel.
• Identify opportunities for new clients and value-added services.
• Write and/or review various reports related to engagements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for the client upon request.
• Attend meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge to be passed down to the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the coordination and completion of financial and regulatory reporting services provided to CFS clients.
• Lead assigned financial and regulatory reporting engagements including planning, budgeting, client relationship management and delegation to staff.
• Responsible for providing training and guidance on accounting standards and regulations relevant to financial statements for funds under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Contribute to identifying, researching and communicating recent authoritative pronouncements for funds to the Financial and Regulatory Reporting group and clients.
• Lead a team of Financial and Regulatory Reporting staff, ensure their work is produced accurately and to high standards, and ensure that the work is allocated appropriately and reviewed thoroughly.
• Establish staff goals, prepare performance evaluations and direct individual and group staff meetings.
• Develop strong relationships with internal parties, clients and audit firm personnel.
• Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients as well as value added service enhancements for existing clients.
• Write and/or review various reports related to engagements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for the client upon request.
• Attend meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge to be passed down to the team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in funds.
• IFRS and US GAAP experience with financial statements for funds.
• Experience in leading a team of accountants and/or auditors.
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance requirements for funds.
