Job summary

Teleflex Incorporated seeks a Senior GL Accountant for Europe to manage general ledger reporting and ensure accurate month-end close across European entities. You will support US GAAP accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and data presentation to corporate teams.

The role requires strong discretion, SAP experience, and the ability to work under tight deadlines within a Shared Service environment in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA designation.
• Experience in a Shared Service Centre.
• SAP user level experience.
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent IT skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close.
• Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis.
• Supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans.
• Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysis.
• Collaboration with the Transaction Processing group in Athlone.
• Ensure the integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with corporate policy and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements.
• Prepare the information requested by internal and external auditors.
• Ensuring the integrity of internal financial controls.
• Ad hoc tasks as required to support Finance Function.
• Back up for other colleagues where necessary.
• Participate in mentoring programme within team.

Position Summary

Education / Experience Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)


• Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre


• SAP user level experience


• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.


• Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


• Strong attention to detail with good time management skills


• The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
