Purcell O’Leary Recruitment is recruiting for an Accountant on behalf of a client. The role offers exposure across the finance function and support for monthly, weekly, and annual reporting. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment across multiple workstreams and contribute to governance and process improvements.

Requirements include ACA/ACCA, excellent Excel, strong English communication, and willingness to travel to different company locations. Ireland-based eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA).
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• High standard of written and spoken English.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Travel to all company locations if required.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of financial processes and controls to ensure continuous business improvement / correct governance within the region.
• Prepare monthly management accounts up to trial balance with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide analysis on departmental spends and budgets.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts for all entities in the region.
• Assist with audits, liaising with external auditors and advisors.
• Support Finance Team and mentor colleagues for day-to-day operations.
• Produce weekly project cash reporting and cash balance reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities within the group.
