Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Financial Accountant in Dublin for a permanent, full-time role. A newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 1-3 years PQE from a Top 10 firm is highly regarded to move into industry and join a fast-paced finance function.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, assist with month-end close, support year-end audits, and handle balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and Revenue filings. Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE.
• Trained in a top 10 accounting firm (audit or practice background).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Assist with month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and compliance (VAT, Revenue filings, CSO returns).
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement and systems/automation initiatives.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior finance stakeholders.
