Job summary

Inishowen Credit Union seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function and support its strategic direction. The role involves day-to-day financial control, reporting, regulatory returns and asset management, with close collaboration to drive growth.

The successful candidate will guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives, while ensuring rigorous governance, compliance, and value delivery for ICU’s members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Chartered accounting qualification required (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• Minimum 5 years’ Finance Management experience, preferably in financial services.
• Previous Credit Union experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling abilities; capable of robust planning and analysis.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate with governance bodies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the finance function and day-to-day financial control.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management.
• Present financial performance at Board meetings.
• Monitor trends and analyse results against budgets and forecasts.
• Lead budgeting, planning and strategic financial initiatives.
• Support audit, regulatory reporting and compliance.
