Job summary

We are seeking a Finance & Operations Manager for a growing international real estate and development business in Dublin. The role combines finance and operations with a hands-on, self-starter approach.

The successful candidate will manage financial reporting across multiple project companies, oversee budgets and cash flow, and coordinate with auditors, tax advisers and external partners. Hybrid working in Dublin is available.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and Irish GAAP / FRS 102.
• Background in real estate, construction or project-based environments is preferred.
• Experience with VAT, audits and regulatory compliance is important.

Job description

We are working with a growing international real estate and development business that is looking to appoint a Finance & Operations Manager, to join its Dublin team.

The role would suit a hands on – self-starter type of individual – significant bonus percentage is achievable with a package that will include pension and health insurance.

This is a broad role covering both finance and operations, with responsibility for the financial management and reporting of a number of development project companies, as well as supporting the wider Irish business.

The role will include:

• Preparing and overseeing management accounts and financial reporting
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cash flow
• Overseeing month-end and year-end processes
• Managing VAT, tax and audit requirements
• Looking after project accounting across a number of development companies
• Managing equity drawdowns and banking requirements
• Working with the commercial team on budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Maintaining financial controls and ensuring accurate reporting
• Managing statutory and company compliance
• Supporting board reporting and company secretarial requirements
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisers, insurance providers and other external advisers
• Reviewing and improving finance processes and systems as the business grows

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) with around 5–15 years' relevant experience.

A background in real estate, construction, property development or another project-based environment would be beneficial. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Irish GAAP / FRS 102 and VAT, is important, along with good Excel and finance systems experience.

Experience working with project companies or SPVs would be useful, as would exposure to development finance, banking facilities, company secretarial work or operations.

Experience in PRS or PBSA would be an advantage, and knowledge of Yardi would be a bonus.
