Job summary

Allied Talent represents a privately owned international investment firm in Dublin hiring a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to own accounting and reporting for a multi-billion euro entity across bonds, equities and alternative assets.

This hands-on, fast-paced role offers scope to shape processes, work with finance, treasury and investment teams, and drive a modernised close cycle in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) with exposure to investment accounting and reporting.
• 3+ years PQE (some flexibility for the right candidate).
• Exposure to bonds, equities and swaps would be advantageous.
• SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong Excel and data skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly financial and management accounts for your entity across a diverse investment portfolio.
• Carry out bank and system reconciliations, intercompany reporting, accruals/prepayments and related control work.
• Modernise systems and processes, spotting inefficiencies and driving smarter ways of working.

On behalf of a privately owned, international investment firm in Dublin, we are looking to hire a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist.

Our client manages a multi-billion euro portfolio of assets across bonds, equities, alternative funds and renewable energy/infrastructure assets. Due to continued growth of the business, they are now looking to strengthen their finance department with a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the accounting and reporting for one of the multi-billion euro corporate entities, managing a set of books that spans bonds, equities and alternative investments, while contributing to the wider team's output. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with real scope to make it your own.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the monthly financial and management accounts for your entity, ensuring a complete, accurate and timely set of books across a diverse investment portfolio
• Carry out bank and system reconciliations, intercompany reporting, accruals/prepayments and related control work as part of the monthly close
• Play a key role in modernising systems and processes, spotting inefficiencies and driving smarter ways of working across the team
• Build strong working relationships across finance, treasury and investment teams

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA), with exposure to investment accounting and reporting
• c. 3+ years PQE (some flexibility for the right candidate)
• Exposure to a range of asset classes such as bonds, equities and swaps would be a strong advantage
• SAP experience is desirable but not essential
• A natural problem solver, happy to dig into imperfect systems and fix what you find
• Inquisitive, self-starting and determined, with good judgement and a high level of integrity
• Strong Excel and data skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large data sets)
