Job summary

Intellect in Cork is seeking a hands-on Technical Services Engineer (Field) to perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, imaging and print support. You will work onsite at customer sites and in the workshop, coordinating parts and deployments for the Imaging and Print team across the Munster area.

The role demands hardware fault-finding, break/fix repairs, strong English communication, and a proactive approach to service delivery. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hardware/break-fix experience, preferably laptop/PC repairs.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer-facing technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with HP Print & Personal Computing certifications or willingness to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and perform break/fix repairs on IT hardware including laptops, PCs and printers.
• Manage workshop stock and tools with accountability.
• Prepare parts and equipment for field service operations and deployments.
• Deploy standard images/builds to laptops/desktops.
• Provide technical support to field engineers and liaise with service delivery teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and call management system updates in real time.
