Job summary

Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a Solar PV Service Technician to support our nationwide residential customer base. The role is field-based across the Republic of Ireland, handling servicing, fault diagnosis, site surveys, and customer add-on installations.

You will work with Operations, Technical Support and Installation teams to keep customer systems performing at peak levels, while identifying opportunities for upgrades. Travel across Ireland is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Solar PV installations and related electrical works.
• Fault finding, servicing, and maintenance experience.
• Ability to carry out site surveys and assess installation requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full clean driving license and willingness to travel across Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys for Solar PV and battery storage.
• Assess installation requirements and upgrade opportunities.
• Carry out customer add‑on installations (batteries, EV chargers, monitoring devices).
• Diagnose and resolve faults across Solar PV systems.
• Service and maintain existing Solar PV installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and health checks.
• Maintain installation documentation and service records.
• Manage warranty and RMA processes.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams for continuous improvement.
