Job summary

Sungrow Ireland is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer for an on-site role across Ireland on a 2-year temporary contract. You will deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair services for Sungrow solar inverters and energy storage solutions, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance to maximise system availability.

You will travel regularly across Ireland, read electrical drawings, use diagnostic tools, and provide clear technical guidance to customers and partners

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or related technical field.
• Hands-on field service experience, ideally in solar, storage or power electronics.
• Able to read electrical drawings and use diagnostic tools safely with LV/MV systems.
• Willingness to travel across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.
• English at C1 level; additional European language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair services for Sungrow solar inverter and energy storage solutions.
• Diagnose technical issues through remote monitoring, on-site testing and structured troubleshooting.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to maximise system availability, safety and performance.
• Support customers, EPC partners and service providers with clear technical guidance and practical solutions.
• Document service activities, findings and corrective actions in reporting systems.
• Work closely with technical support, project and sales teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
