Job summary

Sungrow Ireland is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer for a 2-year temporary contract to deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair for Sungrow solar inverter and energy storage solutions across Ireland.

You will diagnose issues via remote monitoring, on-site testing and structured troubleshooting, and perform preventive maintenance to maximise system availability and safety. Travel across Ireland and a valid driving licence are required; English at C1 level is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or related technical field.
• Hands-on field service experience in solar, storage or power electronics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use diagnostic tools.
• Willingness to travel across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.
• Clear English communications at C1 level; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair for Sungrow solar inverters and energy storage solutions.
• Diagnose technical issues through remote monitoring, on-site testing and structured troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximise system availability, safety and performance.
• Support customers, EPC partners and service providers with clear technical guidance.
• Document service activities, findings and corrective actions in reporting systems.
• Collaborate with technical support, project and sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
