Job summary

RES Group is seeking a fully qualified electrician for a permanent, on-site role covering sites in the Dublin area. The Technician (Solar) will perform operations and maintenance on MW-scale PV plants and battery energy storage systems, ensuring safety, quality, and performance within budget.

You will work in a team of renewable energy specialists, travel between sites, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified electrician with HV/DC competencies.
• Experience with MW-scale solar PV plants and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel between sites and cover training courses.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.
• Achieve and maintain Authorised Person status as training and role require.
• Undertake planned inspections and maintenance per requirements.
• Inspect, test and maintain plant and equipment.
• Perform AC/DC system testing and fault-finding.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Troubleshoot sensors and communications equipment.
• Configure devices and update firmware.
• Occasionally assist with ground maintenance or mechanical work.
• Induct and manage sub-contractors and perform quality checks.
• Maintain maintenance records and reports.
• Coordinate with O&M office and teams.
• Travel between sites and on-call coverage.
