Job summary

BMS Performance Ireland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Dublin region, installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing advanced sterilisation and medical washing systems.

You will work closely with healthcare customers, providing technical support, preventative maintenance and breakdown assistance while ensuring compliance and producing service reports. The role offers career development within a market-leading healthcare technology business.

Qualifications

• Field service, maintenance or technical engineering experience.
• Experience with medical devices or instrumentation is advantageous.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining sterilisation and washer disinfectors.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of healthcare and infection prevention equipment, supplying advanced sterilisation and washer disinfector solutions to hospitals, laboratories and healthcare facilities across Ireland.

Due to continued growth within their service division, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers throughout the Dublin region.

THE ROLE:

The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and repair of advanced sterilisation and medical washing systems.

Working closely with healthcare customers, you will provide technical support, preventative maintenance and breakdown assistance while ensuring equipment remains fully operational and compliant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing and maintaining sterilisers and washer disinfectors
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out preventative maintenance activities
• Installing and commissioning new equipment
• Supporting customers with technical advice and training
• Completing service reports and compliance documentation
• Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
• Participating in planned service schedules and emergency call-outs

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within medical devices, healthcare engineering, instrumentation, calibration, validation, laboratory equipment or technical service environments. However, we are also open to candidates from closely related industries with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Field service, maintenance or technical engineering experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Experience working on technical equipment
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Experience within medical devices, calibration or instrumentation is advantageous
• Full clean driving licence
