Job summary

CPL is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Kildare, Ireland, to provide on-site service and maintenance for diverse electro-mechanical systems. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical work with travel to global training sites before returning to Ireland.

Successful candidates will have a Level 6 qualification or equivalent, practical diagnostics experience, and the ability to read schematics. A full driving license and willingness to work a 24/7 shift rota are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification Level 6 or equivalent desirable.
• Hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical and electronic work through experience or projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• On-site installation, qualification, preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Interface with Irish-based customers to ensure successful equipment outcomes.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and problem solving.

Do you like to troubleshoot, solve complex electro-mechanical problems and enjoy hands on tasks and projects? Our client are the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.

If you're successful, you will work as a Field Service Engineer and provide service and maintenance support to customers of clients key equipment, this is an onsite based role. Once you a fully trained - you will be working a 4 cycle shift.

Shift role:

There will be a travel requirement for this position. You will spend several weeks initially at one of the global training sites, before returning back to Ireland.

Who we are looking for:

• A Technical qualification (ideally Level 6) or equivalent industry experience is desirable.


• Someone who has practical hands-on work exposure (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) through previous experience or project work;


• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics


• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges


• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics


• Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters


• Effective written and verbal communication skills


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


• Full Driving License


• Ability to work 24/7 shift rota
