Job summary

Trane Supply in Ireland is seeking a Service Technician to deliver high-quality on-site service and technical support for installed plant and equipment under our maintenance and service contracts.

You will diagnose system issues, perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, attend customer sites for breakdowns, commissioning, and warranty work, and collaborate with service desk, sales, and operations to improve processes while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences.
• Effective communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
• Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), customer breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning workloads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Collaborate with Service desk, Sales, and Operations to share key customer insights.
• Use diagnostic software and hand-tools to diagnose and repair units following blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Communicate updates to supervisors, regional service managers, and customers to drive continuous improvement.
• Cover standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis to include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
