Job summary

Company Details Confidential is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair Intelligent Vehicle Systems across Ireland. The role is field-based, reporting to the Operations Manager, with travel across Ireland and occasional overnight stays. Base location is Co.

Meath; salary is €42,000 per annum. Responsibilities include installation, fault-finding, and service logging, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in field-based maintenance and repair of complex systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills in electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and commission vehicle-based hardware and communication systems.
• Carry out routine inspections and planned maintenance of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose faults from schematics and technical documents; perform component-level repairs where possible.
• Keep accurate service logs and maintenance records; manage tools and spare parts used in field work.
• Liaise with depot staff and suppliers to schedule work and resolve issues.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety and quality procedures.
