Job summary

Simplicity Group is expanding its engineering team across Ireland and seeks an experienced Vehicle Telematics & CCTV Engineer to join us on a field-based, full-time permanent basis.

You’ll install and support CCTV, telematics, CANbus, tachograph and vehicle tracking systems for leading fleet operators, covering the Republic of Ireland with occasional travel to the UK. A strong electrical/diagnostic background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle telematics, CCTV or auto electrics; or experience as Auto Electrician, Vehicle Technician or HGV Technician.
• Strong vehicle electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with automotive or commercial vehicle systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install CCTV, telematics, tracking and associated vehicle technology.
• Complete service, maintenance and diagnostic work.
• Diagnose electrical, hardware, installation and connectivity faults.
• Complete new vehicle installations and fleet rollouts.
• Test and commission systems before vehicles are returned to service.
• Deliver installations safely and to a high technical standard.
• Accurately complete engineer notes and job documentation.
• Work closely with Fleet Operations and Technical teams.
• Manage workload effectively while working independently in the field.
• Represent Simplicity Group professionally at customer sites.
