Job summary

Cooling Towers & Accessories is seeking an experienced site-based mechanical fitter ready to step into a senior field leadership role across Ireland. You will stay hands-on while developing skills to plan jobs, supervise field teams, coordinate customers and contractors, and lead safe service delivery on sites.

The role offers development opportunities, RAMS review and management, and progression into a broader field services management position with training and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-site activities with on-site supervision of field teams.

• Develop RAMS and safety documentation with available training.

Cooling Towers & Accessoriesare looking for an experienced site-based mechanical fitter who is ready to take the next step into a senior field leadership and management role. You will remain close to the practical work while developing the skills to plan jobs, supervise field teams, coordinate customers and contractors, and lead safe service delivery across sites throughout Ireland.

This is a development opportunity for someone with strong hands-on mechanical fitting experience, sound site judgement and the ambition to grow. Full training and support will be provided to help you prepare, review and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), alongside wider operational and people-management responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Lead by example on customer sites, combining practical mechanical expertise with day-to-day supervision of field activities.
• Plan and coordinate service, maintenance, installation and refurbishment work, ensuring labour, tools, materials and site access are ready.
• Support and supervise mechanical fitters, service technicians, subcontractors and other site personnel.
• Carry out site surveys and walkdowns, identify risks and help define the safest and most effective method of work.
• Develop the capability to prepare, review and manage RAMS, permits to work, toolbox talks and other site safety documentation, with training provided.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers during site activities, giving clear progress updates and resolving practical issues quickly.
• Support the installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment, steel structures and cooling tower systems.
• Promote high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and accountability across every job.

What We Are Looking For

• A strong background as a site mechanical fitter, ideally involving structural steelwork, mechanical assemblies, installation, maintenance or refurbishment.
• Several years of practical experience working safely in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, process, HVAC or a similar site environment.
• The confidence to guide others on site and the potential to develop into a field management position.
• Good understanding of safe systems of work, permits, site hazards and customer-site expectations.
• Strong practical problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• A hands-on approach, willingness to learn and genuine interest in developing RAMS, planning, leadership and customer-management skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites across Ireland.
• Electrical experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
