Job summary

TechMet Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service FMCG equipment across Ireland, including Dublin and Kildare plants. The role covers Midlands/border counties and offers an opportunity to move away from shift work while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in the field, electro-mechanical training, and proficiency with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams; PLC ladder logic is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of field experience in FMCG or similar.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent electro-mechanical training.
• Experience reading electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams; PLCs with Ladder Logic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service installation, start-up, repairs and maintenance of FMCG equipment.
• Cover plants across Ireland with sites in Dublin and Kildare; Midlands or border counties preferred.

Field Service Engineer- Midlands of Ireland

The Field Service Engineer is to provide professional service and support for FMCG customers by performing field service installation, start up, repairs and maintenance of factory equipment. Company is recognised as a leader in the field and highly respected in food processing and food packaging throughout the Ireland of Ireland and Europe

Applicants need to cover plants throughout Ireland with a number of sites in Dublin and Kildare plants. Candidates from the Midlands or border counties might be well positioned to service major clients. M7/ M6 Corridor location would help fulfil clients in the catchment area. Role would suit an experienced plant Maintenance Engineer who would be interested in taking on a Field service Engineers role and getting off shifts. Ongoing relationships with clients means the Engineers will be very well received in the plant and well looked after

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area ideally in FMCG or similar
• Apprenticeship or equivalent Electro-mechanical experience preferred
• Previous experience and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and motor control circuitry required PLC’s with Ladder Logic knowledge, is advantageous
• Must be able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams
