Job summary

CPL in Kildare, Ireland seeks an Equipment Engineer to troubleshoot and service complex electro‑mechanical systems on-site. You will be trained and travel to global sites before returning to Ireland, supporting customers with installation, qualification, and preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical exposure, schematics literacy, and a willingness to travel and work a 24/7 shift rota. Strong communication and tool skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification (ideally Level 6) or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical and electronic exposure through previous experience or project work.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel and to work a 24/7 shift rota.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems on-site.
• Interface with Irish-based customers to ensure successful outcomes from equipment installations.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety standards.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
