Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer for chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation across Dublin, Kildare, Limerick and Belfast. The role involves installation, preventive maintenance and on-site repair with planned workloads and autonomy.

You will work field-based with occasional overnight stays, reporting to a Service/Engineering Manager and handling an on-call rota during weekdays. A solid engineering background and travel flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification is essential.
• Experience servicing chromatography or mass spectrometry is required.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel overnight.

Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer with a background in analytical or scientific instrumentation, looking for a role with a genuine home/work balance?

Here is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established scientific instrumentation business, covering a territory across Dublin, Kildare, Limerick and Belfast.

The company is a leading supplier of analytical and scientific instrumentation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation, planned maintenance and breakdown/repair support across a range of instrumentation platforms, including Mass Spectrometry.

The role is pure field service, with no applications support or method development required. Schedules are planned well in advance, giving strong visibility of your workload and a good degree of autonomy.

The Role:

• Install, maintain and repair scientific instrumentation
• Cover North Leinster, with occasional Belfast travel
• Some overnight stays, up to three days
• Monday to Friday on-call rota
• Report into a Service/Engineering Manager

Candidate Requirements:

• Engineering qualification essential
• Background servicing chromatography, mass spec or similar
• Full driving licence; happy to travel and stay overnight
• Comfortable working autonomously to a pre-planned schedule
