Job summary

Lam Research in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland, is seeking a Field Process Engineer to support customer installations and upgrades on-site. The role focuses on process support, DOE evaluations, data analysis, and collaborating with Lam product groups to identify design improvements.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc/BSc with relevant experience in Chemistry, Physics, or Material Science.
• Extensive ALD and dielectrics deposition experience.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom with PPE and be on-call if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide process support, installation, and improve process/productivity for Lam equipment at customer sites.
• Perform DOE evaluations to characterize process windows for new installations or hardware mods.
• Design experiments, collect data, analyze results, and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Develop new processes for small variants to existing customer applications.
• Perform equipment process qualifications and apply AI capabilities for productivity gains.
• Manage projects: planning, problem-definition, objectives, approach, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to understand needs and roadmaps.
• Represent Lam to customers and deliver high customer satisfaction; present technical materials effectively.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers.
