Job summary

Lam Research in Ireland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Ireland and abroad. You will analyze problems, perform diagnostics, and coordinate with Lam teams to minimize downtime while travelling frequently to customer sites, including international opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
Adaptability to work in clean room environments and wear PPE.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; ability to work varied shifts, overtime and on-call if needed.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for Lam’s equipment at customer sites.
Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, isolate issues to component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Stay current with semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
Coordinate activities between Lam and the customer; maintain reports and records.
Serve as a subject matter expert and represent Lam to customers to deliver exceptional satisfaction.
