Job summary

Mitie Ireland is recruiting a Fire Safety Technician (Fire and Smoke Damper Surveyor) to inspect and maintain passive fire protection systems across Dublin and other sites in Ireland. The role requires the Fire and Smoke Damper qualification, a minimum of two years' experience in damper inspection, and the ability to read technical drawings; a driving licence is preferred for site travel.

You will liaise with clients, document findings digitally, and ensure compliance with Irish Building

Qualifications

• Certification in Fire and Smoke Damper inspection/training or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in fire damper inspection, testing, or passive fire protection works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Full clean driving licence (if travel is required).
• Strong knowledge of Irish fire safety legislation and compartmentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire dampers and passive fire protection systems in varied buildings.
• Identify non-compliance issues and recommend remedial actions.
• Survey penetrations to assess compliance with tested fire stopping systems.
• Record findings using digital reporting systems with photos and recommendations.
• Coordinate with contractors to integrate fire stopping into projects.
