Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Fire Engineer in Dublin to deliver fire safety strategies and risk assessments across diverse projects. You will work within the Fire Engineering team, applying knowledge of Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991 and BS 7974 to ensure compliant designs.

The role requires hands-on site involvement, independent work ethic, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities for growth in a leading TIC services provider.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil or similar field) and a postgraduate fire engineering qualification
• At least two years' experience in a similar role and passion for fire safety
• Confident communicator with customer service skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies and mark-ups for buildings and infrastructure projects
• Provide advisory support and carry out site visits during construction
• Prepare assessment reports of external wall systems and perform CFD/engineering analyses using FDS/PyroSim, Pathfinder, SAFIR, B-Risk
