Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Fire Engineer to join the Fire Engineering team in Ireland. You will develop fire safety strategies, conduct site visits during construction, and advise on external wall assessments and CFD modelling.

The role requires a degree in engineering with a postgraduate fire engineering qualification and at least two years' experience, plus strong communication and teamwork, with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with a postgraduate fire engineering qualification.
• At least two years' experience in a similar role and strong passion for fire safety.
• Strong communication, customer service, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies and mark-ups for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Provide advisory support and carry out site visits during construction stage.
• Prepare assessment reports of external wall systems and perform CFD/structural fire analyses with FDS/PyroSim, Pathfinder, SAFIR, B‑Risk.
