Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Facilities Manager for our Cork client site. You will lead a team responsible for overseeing building operations, maintenance, and capital projects within a dynamic FM environment.

You will manage budgets, coordinate repairs, ensure compliance with EH&S standards, and maintain strong client relationships. The role requires a degree (or equivalent experience) and a driver’s license, with FM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive information and convey performance expectations.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills and ability to perform financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct performance evaluations.
• Schedule and manage the team's daily activities and cross-train staff.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians and contractors.
• Maintain client relationships and conduct meetings on facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections and suggest operational efficiencies and upgrades.
• Oversee health and safety procedures and vendor invoicing.
• Lead process training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
