Job summary

The Johnstown Estate in Dundrum, Ireland is seeking a guest-focused F&B team member to deliver personalised service across restaurant, bar, banqueting and room service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, professional, and personalized service in all F&B outlets (e.g., restaurant, bar, banqueting, room service).
• Set up, serve, and clear tables, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Provide expert knowledge on menus, wine pairings, and special dietary requirements to assist guests with informed choices.
• Handle guest requests and feedback promptly, exceeding expectations where possible.
• Support senior team members with the smooth running of shifts.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and restocking of supplies.
• Process orders and payments accurately using POS systems.
• Comply with all hotel policies, including food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient and timely service.
• Contribute to training and mentoring new staff as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar F&B role within a 4-star or luxury hospitality environment.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a natural passion for guest satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of food, beverages, wines, and luxury service etiquette.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A team player with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
