Job summary

Sodexo are looking for an Executive Chef in Dublin 7. The role is permanent, full-time, and involves leading two kitchens and seven outlets with a schedule of 39 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 7 or 8 am to 3 or 4 pm, with some flexibility for hospitality and events.

You will oversee menus, budgets, and food safety while developing teams and ensuring high standards of service. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have executive chef experience leading a large catering or hospitality operation.
• Chef qualification (706/2, NVQ Level 2) or equivalent with Food Hygiene Certificates.
• Experience developing new menus, concepts and innovative food offers.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene legislation, health and safety and allergen management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, food costs, labour and stock effectively.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen brigade across multiple outlets.
• Develop and refresh menus to meet client expectations and drive growth.
• Oversee daily operations for efficient production and timely service.
• Manage budgets, food costs, labour and stock for profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Coach and develop the chef team and drive a customer-focused culture.
• Identify opportunities to grow hospitality revenue and support local suppliers.
• Maintain strong client relationships and drive sustainability initiatives.
