Job summary

GLENMORE FARMS LIMITED in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our estate team on a full‑time basis.

You will operate a range of excavators on diverse construction and development projects across the estate, including staff accommodation, barns, roads and drainage. You will work safely, adhere to procedures, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with site supervisors to deliver high‑quality results.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating both small and large excavators.
• Experience on construction, civil engineering, agricultural or estate projects.
• Excellent machine control and safe operating practices.
• Reliable, hardworking and takes pride in delivering quality work.
• Holds relevant plant operation certification (preferred).
• Full driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of excavators, from mini excavators to larger tracked machines.
• Carry out excavation, trenching, grading, levelling, drainage, and foundation works.
• Support the construction of staff housing, barns, sheds, roads, and other estate developments.
• Assist with renovation and infrastructure projects across the estate.
• Carry out daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Work safely in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and groundworkers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing Estate team based in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a diverse estate operation where no two days are the same. You'll work across a wide variety of construction and development projects, helping to build and maintain staff accommodation, agricultural buildings, estate infrastructure, roadways, drainage systems, and other improvement works across our estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a range of excavators, from mini excavators to larger tracked machines
• Carry out excavation, trenching, grading, levelling, drainage, and foundation works
• Support the construction of new staff housing, barns, sheds, roads, and other estate developments
• Assist with renovation and infrastructure projects across the estate
• Carry out daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Work safely in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation
• Collaborate with site supervisors and groundworkers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard

About You

• Demonstrates excellent machine control and safe operating practices

• Can work independently while also contributing positively within a team
• Holds relevant plant operation certification (preferred)
• Holds a full driving licence (desirable)
