Job summary

Enva in Naas, Co. Kildare, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operative to join our operations team on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will operate a range of plant machinery in a busy waste recovery and soil treatment facility, working Monday to Friday daytime hours. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency, with responsibilities including site movement of materials, equipment checks, basic maintenance, and strict adherence to SOPs and the waste licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid 360 excavator ticket; bulldozer ticket desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of plant equipment including excavators, loaders, tractors, dumpers and dozers.
• Assist wash plant operations and manage incoming soil and waste materials.
• Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
• Maintain high housekeeping and comply with SOPs and waste licence.
• Complete paperwork and reports as required by supervisor.

Enva is seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Operative to join our established operations team in Naas, Co. Kildare. This is a permanent, full-time role offering excellent job security, regular daytime hours, and the opportunity to operate a wide range of modern plant and machinery within a busy waste recovery and soil treatment facility. Key Responsibilities

The role is for normal week Mon – Fri 08:00 – 5pm

As part of our operations team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, processing, and movement of materials across the site using a variety of plant equipment, including:

• Excavators
• Wheeled Loaders
• Agricultural Tractors
• Dumper Trucks
• Bulldozers
• Bobcats
• Other mobile plant as required

You will also:

• Support the site's wash plant operations.
• Receive, process, and manage incoming soil and waste materials.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance inspections.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site.
• Work closely with supervisors and site management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant workplace.
• Conduct your duties in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company’s waste licence
• Complete all paperwork and administration necessary as requested by your supervisor or as the business needs dictate
• Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times, including but not limited to:
• Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times
• Highlight any safety concerns to your Manager immediately and to report any accidents/ incidents to your Manager immediately

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a 360 excavator ticket at a minimum. A bulldozer ticket is desirable.
• Be safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
• Be reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Take pride in maintaining machinery and equipment in good working order.
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to support various site operations as required.
