McKeogh Landscapes in Bunratty, Co. Clare, is seeking a Groundworker/Plant Operator to deliver high-end residential landscape projects. This hands-on role requires strong construction knowledge, groundworks, and operation of mini excavators.

Accommodation can be arranged for the right candidate; you will join a team delivering premium outdoor spaces. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with competitive €45,000–€55,000 salary per year, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, groundworks or landscaping.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and groundworks techniques.
  • Experience preparing sites and carrying out groundwork operations.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Full, clean driving licence and fluent English.

  • Groundworks and site preparation.
  • Setting out for paving, kerbing and retaining walls.
  • Operating mini excavators and construction equipment.

Groundworker/Plant Operator

McKeogh Landscapes is an established landscape design and build company specialising in premium residential landscaping throughout the region. We create high-end outdoor spaces, including patios, paving, retaining walls, planting and complete garden transformations.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Groundworker/Plant Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong construction knowledge who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship.

Your Role

You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality landscape construction projects, including:

  • Groundworks and site preparation
  • Setting out for paving, kerbing and retaining walls
  • Operating mini excavators and construction equipment
  • Building patios, paving and other hard landscaping features
  • Working from plans to deliver projects to a high standard
  • Supporting and working alongside an experienced team
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, groundworks or landscaping
  • Strong knowledge of construction and groundworks techniques
  • Experience preparing sites and carrying out groundwork operations
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on site

Desirable Skills
  • Experience setting out for paving, kerbing or walling
  • Experience operating mini excavators (training and certification can be provided if required)
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring others
