Job summary

ABEC Inc in Ireland is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator/ Material Handler to manage stock levels and ERP data entry to meet distribution demands. The role involves cycle counts, material issues, and coordination with Production and QC/Receiving teams on an evening shift based on site in Kells, Co. Meath.

Responsibilities include accurate stock counts, BOM and Pick List verification, and maintaining Min/Max stock levels. Travel may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3 years post graduate work in a related field or function.
• Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer’s site.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory transactions for materials & components received into stock or issued out for Production or Customer Service orders.
• Enter data into ERP to reflect movement of materials for production or service orders.
• Maintain accurate counts of all inventory items in stockroom and in the ERP system; conduct cycle counts and physical audits.
• Prepare, package and issue materials to Production per Shop Orders, Pick Lists or Bills-of-Material, verifying part numbers, quantity and serial/lot numbers.
• Monitor and report status of materials on a Min/Max basis and initiate orders for consumables.
• Assist Production and QC/Receiving departments as needed.
• Conduct administrative tasks to support Quality Department activities.
• Resolve discrepancies in identification, quantity, location or status of materials.
• Evaluate procedures and propose improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency or productivity.
• Perform analyses to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for returns or other dispositions.
• Prepare materials for transfer to other ABEC warehouse locations or process incoming transfers.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to travel when required.
