Job summary

Capaciteam Limited in Ireland seeks an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to install, test, commission and maintain EV charging infrastructure across sites. You will read drawings, follow electrical regs and safety standards, diagnose faults, and coordinate with project teams to ensure quality delivery.

The role requires a valid electrician's licence or recognised qualification, at least two years’ hands-on experience, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Valid electrician's licence or recognised electrical qualification, as required by local regulations.
• At least two years of electrical installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safe working procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and site plans.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission AC and DC charging stations at multiple sites.
• Carry out electrical wiring, conduit installation, and cable management.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on EV charging equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for site delivery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on charging equipment.
• Follow site safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain installation records, service reports, and maintenance logs.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe; support a strong safety culture.
• Segregate construction waste and follow environmental procedures.
• Stay informed about EV charging tech, standards, and best practices.
