Job summary

Capaciteam Limited in Ireland seeks an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to install, test, commission and maintain EV charging infrastructure across sites. The role requires a valid electrician's licence or recognised qualification, at least two years’ hands-on experience, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission AC and DC charging stations at multiple sites.
• Carry out electrical wiring, conduit installation, and cable management.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on EV charging equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for site delivery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on charging equipment.
• Follow site safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain installation records, service reports, and maintenance logs.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe; support a strong safety culture.
• Segregate construction waste and follow environmental procedures.
• Stay informed about EV charging tech, standards, and best practices.

Seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across a variety of sites, ensuring all installations meet applicable electrical standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission AC and DC fast-charging stations at various locations.
• Carry out electrical wiring, conduit installation, and cable management in accordance with applicable electrical regulations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults associated with EV charging equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other contractors to ensure efficient site delivery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed charging equipment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate installation records, service reports, and maintenance logs.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards, supporting a strong safety culture.
• Segregate construction waste appropriately and follow environmental and recycling procedures.
• Stay informed about developments in EV charging technologies, electrical standards, and industry best practices.
• Valid electrician's licence or recognised electrical qualification, as required by local regulations.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience installing or maintaining EV charging infrastructure.
• Familiarity with EV charging equipment from manufacturers such as ABB, Siemens, Delta, or equivalent.
• Understanding of smart charger networking and connectivity.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems and battery energy storage integration.
