Overview

Our client, a manufacturer of battery energy storage systems, is seeking a Qualified Electrician to join their expanding team. The company is at the forefront of Ireland’s renewable energy transition, providing innovative and reliable solutions for a variety of applications, both on and off-grid. Job Overview

You will be supporting the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of renewable energy battery storage systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical systems, a strong commitment to safety, and a passion for working in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation & Commissioning
    • Perform electrical installation and commissioning of energy storage systems, including wiring, mounting inverters and batteries, installing main switches, and other related tasks.
    • Program, configure, or adjust inverters and control systems for optimal operation.
    • Conduct corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical components.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet company standards and industry best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and renewable energy standards.
    • Monitor system performance and operational parameters to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Health & Safety
    • Follow all health and safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and maintain a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to achieve project goals.
    • Assist in mentoring and training new staff members when required.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate).
  • RECI Certification.
  • Proven experience in electrical installations and maintenance, ideally within renewable energy or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with battery storage systems, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Solid understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Full Irish driving license
