Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dublin is seeking a Mechanical Design Specialist for the European Chiller Engineering Team. You will create and maintain 3D Creo models and assemblies, ensuring compliance with European regulations, internal standards, and customer requirements.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and suppliers to deliver robust, manufacturable products. The role emphasizes drafting and BOM development, design for manufacturing, and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Creo and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of mechanical design activities from concept to production release.
• Create and maintain 3D models/assemblies in Creo satisfying regs and standards.
• Develop manufacturable designs aligned with production capabilities (DFM).
• Design and position major chiller components, piping, sheet metal, and subsystems.
• Collaborate with Izmir and Nantes plants to understand production constraints and routing.
