Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks experienced systems engineers to lead the European Sovereign Cloud operations, building and evolving high-availability services for EU customers. You will work with global AWS teams to improve availability, latency, and performance across EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.

The role emphasizes operating at scale, following change-management processes, and contributing to a best-in-class development and operations team within AWS UC.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting or networking administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve one of the largest software systems within the AWS UC ecosystem for EU customers.
• Review operational health and document root-cause for anomalies; follow change-management processes for production changes.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents out-of-hours.
