Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Charleville, Ireland is seeking an Estimator (M&E) to price cost plans from conceptual to construction documents for design and build projects across sectors. You will join the senior management team to produce the final estimate for incorporation into the work product, with a strong remuneration package and bonus incentives.

An M&E background and relevant qualifications are preferred.

• Arrange enquiry documents of subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimation.
• Drawing take-offs and contribute to design development to assess buildability and cost.

Are you an Estimator with a background in M&E looking for a client focused role who will be responsible for estimating cost plans based upon conceptual documents as well as schematic, design development and construction documents for mainly design and build projects for a range of sectors?

In this role you will become an integral part of the senior management team, pricing and producing the final estimate to be incorporated into the final work product, whilst being rewarded with fantastic bonus incentives and a great renumeration package.

The Role

• To produce prime cost plans incorporating to all scope requirements
• To estimate preliminary costs required to execute the projects
• Respond to tender queries, prepare, and submit competitive tender packages and pricing from in accordance with the clients' and subcontractors' requirements
• Arrange enquiry documents of subcontractors to ensure the estimation is accurate and competitive.
• Drawing take offs
• Participate in the design development to assess buildability, materials, innovation, and cost effectiveness of proposals

The Person

• Previous experience handling and estimating M&E projects
• Relevant estimator or engineering qualifications
• Full driving license
