Technical Partners in Dublin is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design function across curtain walling, cladding and façade projects. You will supervise internal and external design teams, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and client requirements.

You will collaborate with commercial, project delivery, manufacturing and installation teams to provide technical leadership and drive best practice on prestigious projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the Curtain Walling, Cladding, or Façade industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, building envelopes, and construction detailing.
• Experience managing design teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Excellent understanding of current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage workloads, priorities, and project deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

Design Manager – Curtain Walling, Cladding & Façade Systems

Location: Dublin (Office-Based)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 DOE

Our client is a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality façade solutions. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their Dublin office and lead the design function across a range of prestigious construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced façade professional with a strong background in Curtain Walling, Cladding, and Façade Systems who is looking to play a key role in delivering technically complex projects from concept through to completion.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will oversee the design process across multiple projects, ensuring designs are delivered on programme, within budget, and in line with client, architectural, and technical requirements.

Working closely with commercial, project management, manufacturing, and installation teams, you will provide technical leadership while managing both internal design teams and external consultants from the company’s Dublin office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full design process for curtain walling, cladding, and façade projects.
• Lead and mentor design engineers and CAD technicians.
• Coordinate design programmes to meet project milestones and client expectations.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Building Regulations, British and Irish Standards, and project specifications.
• Liaise with architects, main contractors, structural engineers, consultants, and clients throughout the design process.
• Manage design risks, technical queries, RFIs, and design changes.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and technical submissions.
• Work collaboratively with commercial and project delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in design quality, efficiency, and best practice.
