Job summary

Mako is recruiting an Equity Analyst for its Dublin operations to work directly with senior traders and analysts. You will help identify risks and opportunities in equities markets, delivering actionable research and sustainable short- and long-term performance.

You will build sector coverage, conduct earnings analysis and model developments while monitoring macro events and market signals to inform investment views. This role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous research, and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Front office or markets-adjacent experience (US equities a plus).
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains sector coverage across a focused universe.
  • Performs fundamental research including catalysts and earnings analysis.
  • Monitors news, filings and macro events for real-time impact.
  • Constructs and maintains financial models and datasets.
  • Translates information into actionable equity views.
  • Tracks structural and macro trends to inform views.
  • Improves research processes with scalable solutions.

Join the equity delta one team as an Equity Analyst. You will work directly with experienced senior traders and analysts to help them identify risks and opportunities in equities markets that help deliver sustainable short and long-term success.

The Equity Analyst will work closely with trading teams to create and manage research that is relevant, accurate and actionable.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and owning sector coverage across a focused company universe
  • Conducting fundamental research including catalyst identification, scenario modelling, and earnings analysis
  • Monitoring news, filings, and macro events for real-time impact on covered names
  • Constructing and maintaining financial models and proprietary datasets
  • Developing intuition for how information flows into price — understanding what the market is pricing and why
  • Tracking structural trends — technological shifts, regulatory change, macro developments — and translating them into actionable equity views
  • Continuously improving research processes through practical, scalable solution

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent analytical skills with very strong attention to detail
  • Clear, concise communicator who knows what matters and can cut through noise
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity about equities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Front office or markets‑adjacent experience (US equities a plus, not required)
