Job summary

Mako Trading is seeking an Equity Analyst to work with senior traders and analysts in identifying risks and opportunities in equities markets. You will contribute to long-term equity strategy and special situations research, delivering relevant and actionable insights.

The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, strong communication and collaboration within a fast-paced trading environment in Dublin. A Bachelor's degree and front office or markets-adjacent experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Clear, concise communicator who can cut through noise.
• Genuine intellectual curiosity about equities.
• Front office or markets-adjacent experience preferred; US equities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deep-dive research across sectors, equities and thematic ideas.
• Build investment theses from industry mapping, dynamics and variant perception.
• Identify catalysts, risk factors, and inflection points across names and themes.
• Construct and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks and datasets.
• Track macro trends, regulatory change and translate into equity views.
• Refine research processes for more scalable edge.
