Job summary

Mako is a leading equity market maker with a global trading footprint. We are seeking an Equity Analyst to work closely with senior traders and analysts to identify risks and opportunities in equities that drive sustainable short- and long-term success.

You will help create actionable research, develop models, and monitor market-moving developments to support trading decisions. This role blends rigorous analysis with clear communication in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Front office or markets-adjacent experience preferred
• US equities a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain sector coverage across a focused company universe
• Conduct fundamental research including catalyst identification, scenario modelling, and earnings analysis
• Monitor news, filings, and macro events for real-time impact on covered names
• Construct and maintain financial models and proprietary datasets
• Develop intuition for how information flows into price and why the market prices assets as it does
• Track structural trends and translate them into actionable equity views
• Continuously improve research processes through practical, scalable solutions
