Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Equipment Technician for our production site in Longford. You will respond to breakdowns, perform setups and changeovers, and support automated manufacturing equipment to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

The role is onsite in a fast-paced environment, focusing on mechanical, electrical and automation faults, with a 12-month contract and a 33% shift premium. This is ideal for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Equipment Technician

Looking for a hands‑on technical role?

We're seeking a practical, mechanically and electrically minded technician to support automated manufacturing equipment within a fast‑paced production environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving equipment issues, carrying out setups and changeovers, and working directly with manufacturing systems rather than managing projects or people.

You’ll become part of a team responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

• Like fault‑finding and solving technical problems
• Enjoy understanding how equipment works and getting it back running
• Are comfortable in a manufacturing environment

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responding to equipment breakdowns and technical issues
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and automation‑related faults
• Performing machine setups and product changeovers
• Supporting routine maintenance activities
• Adjusting equipment to improve reliability and performance
• Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime
• Supporting introduction of new automated equipment and technologies
• Completing technical documentation in line with site procedures
