Job summary

TEKsystems in Cork is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a 6 Month Rolling PAYE Contract at Hollyhill. The role concentrates on Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and instrumentation within a modern factory, providing hands‑on support for advanced test equipment used by global teams, including RF chambers.

You will act as a technical escalation contact, ensure reliable operation, calibrate and maintain equipment, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering or technical qualification related to manufacturing, instrumentation or equipment maintenance.
• Experience supporting or operating advanced test instrumentation, including RF chambers, is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with world‑class manufacturing practices and quality standards.

Responsibilities

12 Hour Day Shifts (8am -8pm) 3 days on , 4 days off

Location: Hollyhill, Cork

This role focuses on Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and instrumentation within a modern factory environment. • Perform calibration, audits, and preventive maintenance on CIM equipment to ensure accurate, reliable and safe operation.
• Support production teams from both product and process perspectives, helping to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and process innovation to increase efficiency and maintain high quality standards across manufacturing operations.
• Support the development, commissioning and operation of cutting‑edge test instrumentation, including Radio Frequency (RF) chambers.
• Carry out equipment inspection and assembly tasks as required to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing colleagues to implement robust repair and maintenance solutions.
• Document maintenance activities, calibration results and technical findings clearly to support traceability and ongoing improvement.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in engineering-focused equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Strong repair and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues on CIM equipment and instrumentation.
• Hands‑on experience performing calibration, audits and preventive maintenance on complex machinery or test equipment.
• Practical knowledge of assembly and inspection processes related to manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Ability to support production teams from both product and process perspectives, aligning equipment performance with operational needs.
• Good understanding of continuous improvement and process innovation principles within manufacturing settings.
• Competence in working with computer integrated manufacturing technology and related control systems.
• Clear and accurate documentation skills for recording maintenance work, calibration data and technical investigations.
