Job summary

Fota Island Resort in Ireland is seeking a Wedding & Events Sales Co-ordinator to join the Events Department. This entry-level role provides a path into Event Management or Sales, working across weddings, corporate events, and site tours.

You will manage enquiries, use Opera Cloud, coordinate events, handle show rounds, and support daily office administration while building networks and pursuing new business opportunities. The role offers training, career development, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Desirable third level education in Event Management, Hospitality or Sales.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good business acumen and ability to grow Events.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Weddings and Events administration standards are met and follow up on enquiries.
• Utilise Opera Cloud input/booking procedures.
• Coordinate corporate events including show rounds of hotel and meeting rooms.
• Coordinate wedding arrangements with bride and groom, including tours and proposals.
• Site inspections with clients when required.
• Daily office administration duties with the Events team.
• Sales activities include site visits, upselling, cold calling and outreach.
• Build networks with organisations that may impact the business.
• Research market trends and generate new service ideas to stay competitive.
• Attend Sales and Marketing and other internal meetings.
• Flexible working hours as required by the business.
