Job summary

Musgrave is seeking a Data Governance and Operating Model Lead to establish and scale our enterprise data governance capability. You will define governance frameworks, embed ownership structures, and drive data stewardship across domains within a large, multi-brand retail group.

The role collaborates with business, analytics and technology teams, shaping governance in transformation programmes and daily operations. Based in Dublin or Cork with a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data management, operating model design, or risk management.
• Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-level data capabilities or initiatives.
• Proven ability to define and implement governance frameworks in cross-functional environments.
• Understanding of data ownership, stewardship, and federated governance models.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve data governance framework and operating model aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across domains.
• Lead the design and rollout of a federated data governance model.
• Embed governance into transformation programmes and delivery processes.
• Coordinate data governance forums for cross-functional alignment and decisions.
• Partner with business, analytics and tech teams to integrate governance into workflows.
• Align data ownership and governance with integration design and data movement.
