As Data Quality & Controls Lead, you will play a key role in establishing and scaling Musgrave’s enterprise data quality and control capability.
You will define and implement theprocesses,standards, and controlsrequired to ensure that data across the organisation is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
Working closely with business, analytics, and technology teams, you will embed data quality controls into key data platforms and transformation programmes, enabling trusted data for reporting, decision-making, and AI use cases.
This role reports into the Head of Data Governance, in the IT division and the role can be based in Dublin or Cork.
Define and evolve Musgrave’s enterprise data quality and control framework, aligned to the data governance strategyand policy
Establish data quality standards, rules, and tolerances for critical data across key business domains
Design and implement data quality rules, checks,and controls within dataplatformsusingtools such asSQL, Python,Purview, and Databricks
Ensure data quality controls are applied across data pipelines and integration flows, including transformation and interface points
Workwithtechnology,analytics, and transformationteams,to ensure data quality is built into data products and delivery processes
Establishand leaddata quality monitoring, issue management, and root cause analysisprocesses
Drive continuous improvement in data quality through measurement, reporting, and remediation
Define, track, and report metrics to assess data quality and control effectiveness across the organisation
Build and lead a small team of data analysts to establish a central data quality capability
Partnerwithbusiness teamsto improvedata quality at source andtoembed quality management into operational processes
Experience in data quality, data management, dataanalytics, orrisk management
Experience defining and implementing data quality frameworks or control processesin complex, cross-functional or enterprise environments
Practical experience working withdata(e.g. SQL, Python or similar) to analyse, validate, and improve data quality
Experience working with modern data platforms(e.g. Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric & Purview, Databricks)and implementing data quality controls within pipelines or platforms
Understanding of data quality principles, including rules, controls, monitoring, and issue management
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across business, analytics,and technology teams
Well-developedanalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of data issues
Communication skills with the ability to explain data quality concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience in retail, FMCG, or complex operational environments is desirable
