Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Specialist Governance Actuary to join the Actuarial & Assurance team, reporting to the Actuarial Function & Governance Lead. The role provides actuarial oversight, independent challenge and assurance across the business.

You will review assumptions, methodologies and models, contribute to Actuarial Function reports (ARTP and AOTP) and support ORSA, regulatory compliance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or near qualification with life insurance or regulated financial services experience.
• Strong knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS and actuarial governance.
• Ability to review actuarial assumptions, methodologies, models and results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent review, challenge and assurance across actuarial matters.
• Lead reviews of assumptions, methodologies, models, results and controls.
• Contribute to Actuarial Function reports and opinions (ARTP, AOTP, ORSA).
• Provide challenge on technical provisions, financial reporting, pricing and risk management.
• Translate complex actuarial analysis into clear conclusions for senior stakeholders.
