Job summary

Mason Alexander is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 5-6 person engineering team in Dublin, with ownership of inventory-related backend systems. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic architecture, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalable integrations.

You will drive backlog, collaborate with Architects, Designers and Product Managers, and push for operational excellence while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

Proven leadership of engineering teams in high-scale environments.
Experience building cloud-native services on AWS with a strong backend focus.
Hands-on with Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines for scalable deployments.
Background in real-time data processing and API-driven architectures.
Strong focus on monitoring, reliability, and system uptime.
Pragmatic approach balancing technical debt with feature velocity.

Responsibilities

Lead, grow and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software.
Own the technical architecture for inventory-related services ensuring scalability and performance.
Own the team backlog and drive technical/product decisions with Architects, Designers and PMs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supplier integrations and data freshness.
Champion engineering standards and operational excellence from CI/CD to monitoring and incident response.
Contribute hands-on when needed, reviewing code and guiding system design.
